FAQ
Should you have any questions about CHECKALIGN software, please look over this section in which we provide answers to frequently asked questions. If you do not find the answer you need in this section, please contact us directly.
Which are the differences between the standalone and the online versions of CHECKALIGN?
The online version is the most complete one as the downloadable software does not include the HMMER implementation. All other features are equally the same. The standalone software has been implemented in the Java programming language and has been completely rewritten to achieve a look and feel closer to the native operating system in which it is running. It shows similar organization and functions to those of the web server. Both standalone and online versions can now export logos not only to Postscript but to PDF files as well.
What are the CHECKALIGN system requirements?
The standalone application requires Java 6 or later. The minimum system requirements for this software are a PC with a Pentium 4 1.5 GHz or AMD Athlon XP 1500+ processor or higher with at least 1 GB of RAM.
What if I find a bug in CHECKALIGN?
CHECKALIGN has been satisfactorily tested but should your license prove defective, warranty assistance is provided via the technical support service. Users’ feedbacks as well as suggestions concerning new commands and utilities that might be of general interest are warmly welcome for incoming implementations of CheckAlign. We welcome bug reports and suggestions for additional features.
